Pupils learn about data through a variety of unplugged activities. They write and evaluate algorithms and programs using selection and repetition to use micro:bit as a temperature recorder, an automatic warning system, and a digital assistant. You will ideally use physical micro:bits for these lessons, although you can also use the simulator.

The Micro:bit Educational Foundation is a UK-based not for profit organization. We were established with the support of our founding members (including the BBC) in September 2016 to secure a legacy for the original BBC Make It Digital project in which a million micro:bits were given to UK school children.
We became fully operational on 18th October 2016, and our mission guides us to support exceptional educational programs across the globe.
